Smriti Irani highlights the ‘historic’ growth of the PPE sector during the pandemic
New Delhi: Union Minister of Textiles and Women & Child Development, Smriti Zubin Irani inaugurated the 2nd edition of Global Textiles Conclave 2021 (CITI GTC2021) organised by Confederation of Indian Textile Industry on Wednesday, 24th February 2021 through a Virtual Platform.
COIMBATORE: Several industry associations in the district hailed the State government for allocating Rs 6,683 crore for the Coimbatore metro rail project. A few, however, criticised the lack of additional loan moratorium and special schemes for MSMEs.

Tiruppur’s NIFT-TEA college of knitwear fashion and AIC NIFT TEA incubation centre for textiles and apparels, and Textile Excellence have signed a MOU to jointly organise the twin exhibitions, DyeChem World and KnitProcess, in Tiruppur, from October 22-24, 2021. The event will be held at the NIFT-TEA compound SIDCO, Tiruppur. SDC has joined as a co-organiser.
Trade and industry welcomed the Interim Budget presented by the AIADMK government on Tuesday, saying it contained a lot of welfare measures and allocations of funds to all the departments.
