New Delhi, The Centre is considering formulation of the National Textiles Policy in consultation with states, Union Minister Smriti Irani said on Thursday.
The share of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in India’s gross domestic product during fiscals 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18 was 29.5 per cent, 29.3 per cent and 29.7 per cent respectively, MSME minister Nitin Gadkari told parliament lower house citing data from the Central Statistics Office under the ministry of statistics and programme implementation.
