TIRUPUR: Garment exporters have hailed the stimulus package announced for boosting industrial demand, including for the MSME sector, by the Union Finance minister, Dr Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi on Friday.
New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced that all the pending refunds of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to the tune of Rs 4,000-5,000 crore will be cleared within 30 days.
The rupee on Monday slipped to 72.06 in the opening deals on Monday amid weak global cues.
Traders body Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has written to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman requesting for an extension of the last date for filing annual Goods and Services Tax (GST) return in form GSTR 9 to 31st October from current 31st August 2019.
Exporters operating small and medium-sized units (MSMEs) are set to benefit from the exemption to pay taxes under the GST schemes.
