In cooperation with the Rotary Club of Tirupur Thirumuruganpoondi, the Tiruppur Stakeholders Forum (TSF) and the Tiruppur Exporters’ Association (TEA) Women Empowerment Sub-Committee have jointly arranged an awareness session on breast cancer and cervical cancer for women.

The venue was SNQS Internationals Pvt Ltd., a TEA member company. The TEA’s Joint Secretary, T. Chinnasamy, chaired the Membership Sub-Committee, while R. Gopalakrishnan, Treasurer, oversaw the program. R.K. Sivasubramaniam, Chairman Business Promotion, Branding and Sustainability Sub-Committee M. Anand were also present.

Participants in the program included gynaecologist Dr. Anitha Vijay, president of the Thirumuruganpoondi Rotary Club Dr. D. Karthikeyan, zonal coordinator of the project V. G. Anand Ram, and vice chairwoman Sudha Sivasubramaniam and members Suganthi and Shruthika Sethu.

Gopalakrishnan stated that, in collaboration with the Rotary club, TEA is attempting to introduce a series of awareness activities focused on the welfare of women workers to all of the member units in Tirupur through its Women Empowerment subcommittee.

V.G. Anand Ram and Dr. D. Karthikeyan gave an explanation of the project, including its goals and the advantages it offers to women. Dr. Anita Vijay provided a detailed explanation of the signs and symptoms of cervical and breast cancer in women, as well as the consequences of the disease and its prevention strategies.

Speaking about this, K.M. Subramanian stated that this awareness program for women’s welfare is one of the most significant social welfare projects being run by the Tirupur Exporters Association.
