Indore, Nov 1 (KNN) The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in collaboration with Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) is planning to set up a training centre for students at Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) by mid-week of November.

While speaking on the same, IET director Dr Sanjiv Tokekar said, "It is an initiative of Centre. We will only be giving our space to MSME for the centre. We have already finalized everything related to it with MSME including location on our campus."

He further informed that IET has planned to sign a memorandum of understanding with MSME by next week to exchange official documents.

Ten machines including, Computer Numerical Control and Electrical Discharge Machining, will be made available at the centre. It will also have manufacturing software.

All undergraduate, postgraduate students and PhD scholars of IET will be able to make use of machines and software at the centre for their assignments and projects free of cost, he added.

General category students of DAVV will have to pay 50 % of the actual fee, whereas SC/ST students will be able to take the courses for free. However, the short-term courses will also be open for all.
