BRISTOL – Farming charity Soil Association has released its UK Textile Organic Market Report, in which it reveals that sales of Soil Association Certification organic textiles grew by 18 per cent in the UK in 2018, making the market now worth £41.3m.

This is along with a 19.9 per cent growth for ‘ethical’ clothing sales in the same time period. It also reports second-hand clothing sales in the UK grew 22.5 per cent in 2018 and that the number of Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) facilities also grew by 14.6 per cent.
