The Yarn Expo Spring 2018, the leading trade event in the world's biggest yarn and fibre consuming market is ready to once again to create an effective sales and sourcing platform for the industry where more than 450 exhibitors are expected to take part.

Mothercare plc, the leading global retailer for parents and young children, has recorded 7.2 per cent decline in the UK like-for-like sales for 12 weeks to December 30, 2017. Its online sales also fell 6.9 per cent. It was due to lower footfall and spend, both in stores and online, following the continuation of consumer trends flagged in half year results.

AATCC, the Association of Textile, Apparel & Materials Professionals, a leading not-for-profit association serving textile professionals with test method development and quality control materials, has hired Brian C. Francois as the new executive vice president on November 16, 2017. He will succeed Jack Daniels upon the latter’s retirement in March 2018. 

Heimtextil, the biggest international trade fair for home and contract textiles, is hosting 2,975 companies from various parts of the world, showcasing design innovations. Focusing on the textile interior design, the ongoing trade fair is presenting a large selection of bed linen, bedding, mattresses, bathroom textiles and table and kitchen linen.
