Coimbatore : Tirupur Exporters’ Association (TEA) on Wednesday hailed the reduction of repo rate by 0.35 basis points to 5.4 announced by RBI in its monetary policy.

MUMBAI: Interest rates on loans are set to fall further with Reserve Bank of India governor Shaktikanta Das announcing a reduction in repo rate by an unconventional 35 basis points (100bps = 1 percentage point) to spur economic activity that has slowed down in recent months, while inflation has remained under check. 

Mumbai: Banks have passed on only a little more than a third of the benefits they have accrued so far from the past three successive rates reductions of 75 bps by the Reserve Bank to the borrowers, governor Shaktikanta Das Wednesday said, urging them to do more. 

NEW DELHI: Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) minister Nitin Gadkari and small businesses on Tuesday complained about the 59-minute loan scheme being slow in disbursing loan, while asking FM Nirmala Sitharaman to ensure that their dues from the government are cleared expeditiously. 

As per news reports, MSME Minister Nitin Gadkari said in the Lok Sabha that the government has decided to launch a portal on the lines of Alibaba in China and Amazon in the US for selling products manufactured by small industries within a month.
