NEW DELHI: The government is working on an Alibaba-like e-marketplace for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) which is expected to bring a turnover of around Rs 10 lakh crore over the next two to three years, Union MSME minister Nitin Gadkari said.

GST Return Deadline Extended: The government has extended the deadline to file the annual GST return filing deadline for the last financial year 2017-18.

The tax income from State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) in Gujarat for the five months of the current financial year, stood at Rs 14,642 crore almost stagnant – rather a minor drop – compared to last year's SGST collection of Rs 14,900 crore witnessed during the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.

In the coming days with the proposed launch of the new GST return filing system, the MSMEs and small businesses are going to find the return filing process more functional and easy.
