HỒ CHÍ MINH – The Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) has partnered with Dutch sustainable trade initiative IDH to launch Life and Building Safety Initiative (LABS), in a bid to protect apparel and footwear factory workers.

Local businesses admit they’ve struggled to comply with stricter workplace safety and environmental standards in factories in Vietnam, as international brands continue to demand them as basic business requirements – a complication for factories with multiple clients.
