Sri.S.Devarajan was the past Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry, Salem Zone and Sri.S.Dinakaran was the past Chairman of The Southern India Mills Association, Coimbatore.

The Company has five Independent Directors, viz. Sri.P.S.Ananthanarayanan, Former Executive Director of Balmer Lawrie & Company Ltd., Dr.V.Gopalan, Former Vice President in ICICI Bank Limited, Sri.N.Asoka, Managing Director of M/s.Spark Engineers (P) Ltd., a 30 years old ISO 9001-2000 Certified Company, Sri.Kameshwar M.Bhat, Former Dy. General Manager of Karnataka Bank Limited and S.Gnanasekaran, Former Senior Manager, Finance & Accounts in India Cements Limited. These five independent directors constitute the Audit Committee of the Company which reviews and recommends all financial proposals, budgets, quarterly and annual accounts before submission to the Board of Directors of the Company. Present strength of the Board is ten directors including one women director viz. Mrs.S.Abirami.

 


The Company has ISO 9001-2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certification issued by SGS. The Company has set a Research and Development Foundation which has been recognized by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories, New Delhi. This foundation is constantly working towards improving the quality of the product.

The total installed capacity of the Company is 89,052 Spindles with state of art machineries.

The Company’s shares are listed in the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The Company is manufacturing Cotton Yarn and Viscose Yarn of counts ranging from 20s to 100s both Carded, Combed, and Knitted yarn and also TFO yarn, Compact yarn, gassed and mercerised yarn which is well received by both in domestic and export market, 40% of the production is exported to Italy, Peru, Japan, Hong kong, Indonesia and Malaysia.

The Company has installed Sixteen Wind Turbine Generators for a total capacity of 12.575 MW in Tirunelveli and Coimbatore districts of Tamil Nadu. Electricity generated in the Wind Farm contributes towards reduction of power cost of the Company’s Spinning Mills. The entire generation of wind energy is consumed for captive consumption, which covers 60% of the total requirement. The annual production is 250 million units.
