Tiruppur’s NIFT-TEA college of knitwear fashion and AIC NIFT TEA incubation centre for textiles and apparels, and Textile Excellence have signed a MOU to jointly organise the twin exhibitions, DyeChem World and KnitProcess, in Tiruppur, from October 22-24, 2021. The event will be held at the NIFT-TEA compound SIDCO, Tiruppur. SDC has joined as a co-organiser.

DyeChem World will cover the entire range of textile dyes, chemicals, finishes, and technologies. Being the first of its kind show in southern India, DyeChem World will create a platform for interaction and knowledge sharing between the dyes, chemicals, and textile industries. KnitProcess will help the industry to explore and adopt latest innovations in the knitting and post processing sector, covering the entire value chain of knitwear processing technologies, according to Textile Excellence.

An important highlight of the events will be the CEO Summit. The CEO Summit will be a gathering of global heads from the textile, apparel, fashion brands, and retail industries. While the primary aim of the meet is to have a highly interactive and candid networking for business, it would also have serious deliberations on core issues of sustainable practices, sourcing, and the adopting it to the supply chain, Textile Excellence said.

“Tiruppur being India’s largest knitwear cluster, our entrepreneurs invest in capacity enhancements and upgrading technologies on a regular basis. With the emerging opportunities and the Prime Minister’s call for Atmanirbhar Bharat, our industry is committed to take this cluster forward with further investments. Thus, we need international events and supply chain interactions to achieve the goals,” Raja Shanmugham, president of the Tiruppur Exporter’s Association said in a Textile Excellence press release.

“Tiruppur is the apt venue for an event of this stature. Tiruppur has always been at the forefront in clean production, and has carved the path towards sustainable production, for the rest of the industry to follow. DyeChem World and KnitProcess will be the ideal platform for product, technology, and service providers to connect with the decision makers,” Yogesh Gaikwad, director, SDC UK and India said.

“India is among the top markets for modern textile machinery and processing technology. Indian textile and apparel industry’s quest for state-of-the-art technology has established itself as a global player. Textile Excellence is committed to create a platform for marketers to interact with the industry and build sustainable business partnerships,” DJ Gohain, director at Textile Excellence said.
