The National Institute of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (Ni-MSME) is organising a one-week training programme on strategic approaches for MSME development, media reports said.

 

The programme will be organised for the stakeholders involved in the promotion and development of the MSME sector and will be held from June 10 to 14, 2019.

 

The objective of the programme is to scan policies and programmes of Government of India vis-à-vis State governments, to identify key institutions/organisations and their role in the development of MSME sector, to discuss various strategies for MSME development, to share experiences and best practices, and to design new strategic approaches for the specified region.

 

The programme will consist of classroom lectures, group discussions, interactive sessions, case studies, presentations, and exposure visits.

 

Officials of Industries Department, technical consultancy organisations, representatives of business incubators and science & technology parks, commercial banks, faculty of technical and management institutes, entrepreneurs, business development service providers, representatives from Chambers of Commerce, industry associations, and NGOs can participate in this programme for Rs 13,000 (residential) excluding GST, or for Rs 10,000/- (non-residential) excluding GST.

 

Ni-MSME was set up in 1962 and is the pioneer institute in the field of MSME, playing a major role in providing a pro-business environment to foster the progress of MSME towards success and prosperity. The institute’s aim is to assist the government in formulating policies for MSMEs and to help the practising and potential entrepreneurs through a host of services like training, research, consultancy, information, education, and extension.

 

The institute has trained more than 5,32,000 participants and has organised around 15,800 programmes, which include prospective/existing entrepreneurs and officials from various Ministries of Government of India and State governments till March 2019.
